FAQ

  • Why waxing or sugaring?
There are many benefits to maintaining a regular waxing cycle. Waxing regularly will cause the hair to grow back finer, thinner, and sparser. We have three different hair growth cycles; please take into consideration that you may not be 100% smooth for your first wax. We recommend trusting us for at least 4 waxing services to experience the full benefits.
  • What kind of wax do you use?
We use a combination of both hard and soft waxes to create a personalized experience to better meet your hair removal needs. We use Hard Wax on the Bikini Area, Underarms, and some Facial Waxing. Soft Wax is used for all other services. You can request hard wax for a service that is usually done with soft wax for an additional fee.
  • I am a 1st time waxer what service should I choose?
If you have extremely sensitive skin and your pain tolerance is med/high a sugaring wax can be booked. If you are normal skin, you may book a regular hard wax then your next first I would recommend sugaring once your hair is denser. However, this is only a recommendation all clients are not the same and you may book any appointment you may want to try.
  • Should I trim my hair prior to my appointment?
No, we will decide if your hair needs to be trimmed at the time of the appointment. We do not want you to trim due to you might cutting to low or patchy.
  • What are the benefits of Sugaring?
Sugaring is a more natural form of waxing. Since, it is made with only sugar, lemon juice and water it is great for people with sensitive skin. You can also not get burned from sugar since it warms up to your body temperature. Surging can be a great for ingrown's since it can wrap around the hair follicle better.
  • Is Sugaring less painful?
Pain varies from person to person. However, sugaring is a little gentler on the skin. You should keep in mind that we are still removing hair which may be uncomfortable.
  • Can I reduce the pain?
We will not lie to you; waxing can be uncomfortable. Everyone’s pain tolerance is different, but you can expect a short, stinging like sensation after strips are pulled. We recommend taking an ibuprofen about 30 minutes before your appointment. (Please consult your physician before taking any medication).
  • Can I use a numbing cream?
Numbing creams are available in certain stores however, we do not provide any and do not recommend them. Only because if it works and the wax is a little warm you will not be able to tell if the temperature is too uncomfortable for you furthermore, some creams/ sprays leave a residue behind which makes it harder for the wax or sugar to grab your hair.
  • How long does Waxing / Sugaring last?
    On average 3-6 weeks.
  • What is the ideal hair length for my wax?
Hair must be at least 1/4 inch. We recommend 3-4 weeks growth. That means no shaving or Nair at least 3 weeks prior to your appointment.
  • How often should I get waxed?
Facial services and underarms should be waxed every 2 to 3 weeks and your Bikini area and/or Body should be every 4 to 6 weeks. Everyone's growth cycle is different. We will recommend the frequencies of your visits at the time of your appointment.
  • Can I wax while I am on my menstrual cycle?
You may be more sensitive during this time or a couple of days before and after, however you may wax during your menstrual cycle. Please place in a new tampon right before your appointment and wipes are provided. Please keep track of your cycle. If you decide not to wax on your period and did not cancel your appointment in time then a fee will still be charge.
